Claudius, 41-54. As (Copper, 27 mm, 11.31 g, 9 h), a contemporary imitation. Irregular mint, after 50. TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR(inverted) AVG P M TR(inverted)[...] Bare head of Claudius to left. Rev. Minerva, helmeted, advancing right, holding shield in her left hand and brandishing javelin with her right. Cf. BMC 206, Cohen 84 and RIC 116 (for prototype). Minor marks, otherwise, very fine.
